Bringing the brightest minds in the Roam community together to share, discuss, and debate best practices and methodologies.

There are many reasons to be excited about Roam. If you are anything like me, the community surrounding the software sits atop that list. That is why I am so excited to introduce the Roam Summit—a new initiative aimed at fostering connection and promoting the free flow of ideas amongst the Roam user base. Through events such as live-streamed panels, 1-on-1 interviews, and small group sessions, the Roam Summit aims to bring users together to highlight the tools, thought processes, strategies, and tactics that lead to success with this powerful tool for thought.

Like many Roam users, gaining proficiency with the software would not have been possible for me without the community’s assistance. The willingness to help and the quality of the resources that Roam’s user base have put in place continue to be instrumental in my journey.

Yet for all of the assistance I’ve received along the way, I often find myself wanting more opportunities to connect, to engage in discourse about the competing and ever-evolving philosophies and methodologies employed by the community.

This desire for connection is the driving force behind the Roam Summit. Roam itself is built on the premise that ideas should be allowed to flow, connect, collide, and aggregate into something much greater than the sum of their parts; the Roam Summit aims to extend this same philosophy to the user community.

The Roam Summit will kick off on Saturday, February 27th at 11:00 am ET with our first live-streamed panel. Joining me on the call will be Robert Haisfield, Joel Chan, and Kyle Stratis. We will discuss different methodologies related to the use of page and block references designed to help you maximize discoverability, efficiently link ideas, and discover the surprising connections in your graph that generate truly creative insights.

Join us as we kick off this exciting new initiative! I believe that by promoting increased connection amongst the community, together we can all play an important role in not only shaping the future of Roam but of tools for thought as a whole.
